The Dallas branch of AAUW comprises a dynamic group of women who are active in their community and passionate about encouraging young women to value their education and pursue advanced degrees.

Each year the Dallas branch of AAUW awards scholarships to Dallas area high school women who exhibit academic achievement and academic promise. Branch members have also spoken at the
Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women's Leadership School, the first all female public school in Texas.

At each of the monthly branch meetings a woman who has risen to hold a leadership position in the Dallas area is invited to speak to the branch about her work to elevate the status of women through education and philanthropy. The Dallas branch also periodically hosts events to recognize women of distinction in the Dallas area.

Members actively participate in branch activities by joining branch committees, the AAUW Dallas Great Decisions Discussion Group, the Contemporary Literature Discussion Group, and scheduling times to visit local museums with other members after monthly branch meetings.
